Default Now Who's This Guy?

(NOTE: I've been doing this as a running thread for several different photos, so go to the end for the latest mystery man, and thanks in advance for any/all help!)

In dealing with lots of photos, it is almost inevitable that I will run across one every now and then that is not identified and I don't recognize. So I'm starting this thread to help thin out my "unidentified" pile. I won't add a new photo until the previous one has been identified or stalled significantly to try and keep it fun and challenging for anyone who cares to chip in. Any help or solid leads will be appreciated.

So first up, who's this guy? The photo has no identifying markings and does appear to be vintage, possibly of the period. It's a crisp image, which makes the tear across the middle all the more unfortunate.

Wow, that was fast! I couldn't find another clear shot of Felsch from a quite that same angle, but the facial features do appear similar to me. So this would be him circa 1915-16 then.

So if there are no dissenters, I will consider this one "case closed" and move on to the next. Thanks for the quick response, Don!

Lance - I'm not so sure it's settled. If you can post or send me a higher resolution scan his head we may be able to settle this one way or the other.

One thing we can clearly see is that the belt buckle in Lance's photo is at a different location compared to the belt buckle in the Felsch photos shown above (and all the others I could find tonight).

Right shoe on original photo has a tongue with a white label/tab. Felsch photo above has no tab.
