Default The ONE card you want.....that you can afford....

Hope this thread is ok, Leon.

What is the ONE card that you really really want for your collection......that you can afford? If the '52 Mantle or t206 Plank is in your budget, then by all means congrats....but it's not in mine!

I would really really love to have an e98 Cobb. Haven't had a Cobb in my collection in a few years, and it is the last of the "expensive" cards I need for the set. There are a couple of overpriced ones on eBay, and I'm not about to pull the plug

So what is yours? Doesn't have to be expensive. Just a card that "NEEDS" to be in your collection.

Jimi

Not vintage, but i have been looking for this forever. In 1996, Marshall University won it's second D1AA championship. Someone, though who is shaky, issued a phone card of the two quarterbacks from those teams, Michael Payton, who went to camp with the Cowboys and Eric Kresser who played briefly for the Bengals. I have seen only one, which was on ebay years ago.

Along with my Monster obsession, I have a very comprehensive Marshall University collection...but that one has evaded me. In fact, I have never found another collector or Herd fan who even remembers it.

Cy Blanton from the Diamond Stars series. My great-grandfather's name was Blanton, and everyone called him Cy after the baseball player. I've wanted the card forever, and never seemed to get around to it.

One day I would like to get a clean green Cobb.

Here is the first error I "discovered" and was the underbidder on....it is now in the collection of a good friend and one day I will pull the trigger and make the trade.

First and foremost...a T205 Hoblitzell no stats in poor-fair condition.

Next is a '58 Kahn's Wally Post in p-vg condition or a JJK Copyart Ennis in any condition.

Just a few things I just cant seem to find but know they are out there.

You might want to pick up a bottle of Blanton's Bourbon while you are looking for the card

Always looking for Detroit OJ's that I need for my collection.

Joe
