Default PSA 8 T-206 Wagner Reholder

Let's just say if Ken Kendrick wanted to have his PSA 8 T-206 Honus Wagner card re-holdered by PSA to include the new slab and hologram on the flip.

How do you think PSA will proceed?

I'm curious to the board's opinions.

Tony

I registered my vote as how they WILL. How I feel they should re-holder it is a different story.

If I were the owner of that card, it would be in the same holder I purchased it in. The Wagner is so famous (there is a book written about it after all) that any changes to the holder would hurt it financially. Therefore, no changes at all makes the most sense

Right, there would be nothing to gain. The grade would obviously not go up.

But if it was resubmitted, PSA would have no choice but to give it an "A". How could they possibly explain not doing so?

If he actually mailed it in without talking to anyone first I think someone would give him a call and tell him to keep the card as is. I guess I should have voted other, as I don't think they would reholder it at all.

Exactly right. The card is a hobby legend--no one's going to be dumb enough to screw around with it!

I agree with Rich. After all that's happened, the holder and flip are as much a collectible as the card.
