These two are porbably amongst the top favorites in my collection. 19th century Harvard, hand blown glass stein with baseball scene (I'm assuming its baseball). Flawless condition. Its a beauty. |

Great pieces Brock. The mug is a real gem. I've never seen the likes of it before. Based on the pictures from the auction, I would agree that it is baseball. You can clearly see the figure 8 seems of the ball. |

I came within a click of buying that Yankee Pennant. Not my niche and not enough money to go around as it is. Nice one. |

A good buddy gave me these. The Cubs/A's booklet is really clean and cool inside with full black and white photos of each player plus a nice writeup. I love the stealing home cover on the other. |

Two of my most recent additions. The mug has a crack in it but the price was great and I have a matching baseball mug for it. |

Took a little time off from packing for a move to go to card show today. Nabbed these 2 pieces. The score card is scored second game of Double hitter Aug. 7th 1926. Senators won 9-2. Unfortunately the Train didn't pitch in the game. |

Thanks Clint. I noticed the guy I won these from has not left feedback for the guy who won the other ball yet. He left me feedback as soon as I paid...I contacted the seller to let him know I would buy the other ball if the other guy doesn't pay for it. Unfortunately the ball he sent me has the box for the other ball so I'm assuming he put that ball in my box...I'd like to have the right box..especially if it has the NSL paper wrapping still on it. Not that big of a deal since I didn't even know he still had the original boxes with the balls since he didn't mention it in the auction. Just a bonus, but it will kind of bother me that the original box is out there and I got the wrong one. |

Nice pick-ups Mark. I was watching that Ward's sign and didn't set a snipe because I thought it was going to sell for much more than I was willing to fork out. I think you got a real bargain. |

Actually, I thought the three Cleveland panoramic photos in SCP's auction (each was a different lot) were good buys (especially the second and third ones below) at those prices. |

Well...my beautiful Cardinals figural arrived in two pieces! I'm so tired of poor packaging by sellers. It was insured sure...but this was a very nice piece that is now junk. I asked them to take extra care and that I would gladly pay extra, but it didn't help. I just hate it that a 54 year old piece is now gone. |

Wow... you have had terrible luck, Mike. That is such a shame. Ebay should add (as one of their DSRs) "Quality of Packaging", as this criteria is as impotant as any of their existing ones. I'd like to see Ebay replace the "Shipping charge" criteria with one for "Packaging". We can see what the shipping charges are for ourselves, so that one is basically worthless. |

Real sorry to hear that Mike. What a shame. I too have asked sellers on numerous occasions to handle with extra care and that I would gladly add extra $ to cover the shipping and handling. More often than not I get the 'dont worry I'll package with care' and sure enough I open the package only to find a fragile item wrapped in newspaper. Makes me want to stick to buying bats. |
