Default T206 Plank

Any thoughts on the T206 Eddie Plank up on Mile High's auction this week? (Or thoughts, in general, on this auction house?)

http://www.milehighcardco.com/LotDet...100&category=1

Hope everyone's enjoying the long weekend.

I haven't dealt with them personally, but they are one of the better known auction houses in the hobby, and have auctioned high end baseball cards for years.

"as there exist just 9 like it at the Newport Beach grading firm with only 18 graded higher."

It's just another way to expand saying "PSA".....Sort of like "The company that will be opening on Monday"......

That's Marketingspeak for "PSA says there are 27 cards equal to, or better than, this one!"

I just registered with them last week in order to take a crack at the 1950's old timers signed baseball. It has at least 8 Philadelphia A's. 6 of those from 1929-1954, and 5 of those ones I need. I really like the ball because it appears that almost all of the players were either from PA or played for a Philadelphia team.

Default sub-standard images...

am i the only one that feels mhcc deserves to be chastised for the weak (fuzzy, non-enlargeable, etc.) scans provided online for their "premium" auction?
and a week-old request for clearer/higher definition images of a single specific item has gone unanswered...
makes one wonder if it's really wise to participate.

Mark, the images in their catalogs have also been traditionally weak. I'm not sure who their printer is but I'm guessing he's got some pictures of Brian in some uncompromising positions.
