Can some explain this Maris/Mantle signed ball?
I just purchased this ball and gave yet to receive it, so the photos that i do have are the sellers photo. I will post more clear photos of the entire ball with all signatures once i receive it this week.
What is odd about this ball, if it is indeed genuine, is that the signatures of Mantle and Maris seem to be early signatures, but in each of their respective years? Unless, the signatures were added over many years, i am left scratching my head. There are many other signatures on the ball including a Berra signature, signed Larry Berra? Any opinions and thoughts would be much appreciated in dating and or explaining the signature styles on this ball. Lucky
