Picked this up recently. 1936 New York Yankees World Series Brown Bat. Facsimile stamped signatures include Hall of Famers Joe McCarthy, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio (rookie year), Bill Dickey, Red Ruffing, Lefty Gomez, Tony Lazzeri, and Earle Combs as well as several others. Measures 35", 35.6 oz.
Overall nice condition with the majority of the gold stampings and finish intact. Couple of mounting holes, one with partial nail still remaining just below the center label. A few scuffs & scratches, but really looks nice in person.
Anyone have any idea how many of these might have been produced? I'll be looking to get this one sold, but am not nearly as experienced with bats that aren't game used. Thoughts on value?
