I've never been to Acadia National Park (although I am an alumnus of Acadia University, Nova Scotia), but have been through Maine a number of times and always enjoyed it. The best baseball bulk book purchase I made was in the backwoods of Maine, at a cabin on the lake, with an out building in the back, and fog rolling in at night. As the owner was leading me out back, I imagined that Stephen King might be penning my epitaph in a subsequent novel. However, the books were great and I did not meet an untimely demise.

I didn't get this book on that purchase, but here's something more of Maine

Default Maine

It's tough to find decent seafood out here in the boonies in Wisconsin. It's worth the trip to Maine just to find a restaurant by the water and enjoy the fresh scallops, shrimp and lobster.

You should do what we do. Buy your own lobster at about 5 bucks a lb. right off the docks and boil it up yourself and slather in butter.

If you like mussels, All you have to do is wade into the water, just about anywhere up there and you get all that you can manage to clean and steam up for free.

It really is fantastic.

$5 a pound? Check around, currently $4.49 per here 50 miles inland. There are game wardens monitoring most of the good clam flats also with video.
