My Dad found this bat at a garage sale and asked me to help him find some information about what it is and what it is not. (That translates to "Here, Sonny, sell this for me!")
![]() Anyway, it is an uncracked Block Letter Frankie Frisch Reach "Player's Model" bat, ~34" long and weighing ~36 ounces. Excellent overall condition, no missing pieces, no splits, no gouges, no repairs. I ASSUME that it is a Store Model. Any information that you would be willing to share regarding the bat's value (or lack thereof) would be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to sell the bat and would be willing to work with a interested party on price, but would like to have some idea as to its value before I would accept an offer. Thanks in advance - the Net54 Family has never let me down in its willingness to share info! Last edited by Eggoman; 07-18-2016 at 02:48 PM. Reason: Adding More Info |

THANK YOU - I DID see that one, but mine is block letters as opposed to script. So mine is MOST LIKELY 1930s and THAT (the Autry) bat did NOT (or has not) sold. I would really like to be fair to all parties, especially since "you guys" know what this stuff is. But I want to take care of my Pa, too! Thanks for you help! |

As a dealer taking that bat to the National, I would be pricing it at $600. Reach player model are difficult to find.

THAT bat is VERY similar to mine and Frisch did play throughout the 1920s and 1930s. The price is probably "light" as it is a 2010 sale. |

Would anyone else care to chime in with their opinion regarding the value of this bat before I offer it for sale?
Thanks! |

Nice garage sale find by Pops for sure. A real beauty! As for an sell price, I would say somewhere in between the $600 "National" dealer asking price and the link provided on this thread showing one currently for sale at $350. Are you going to list here on BST section? At any rate, good luck with the sale. Adam
