That's Jack, or Johnny, McCarthy...not Joe.

The Mantle...is it approx 7 inches long and maybe 4 inches high? If so it is part of a set of such "cards" issued by Davco in 1982. I have several of them that are signed, including DiMaggio. The Mantle does look good to me, and I would guess a value of $150 or so...give or take $25.

The 1939 Giants ball is in rough shape obviously. Ott is the only big "star" on the ball...Tony Lazzeri was on that team for a time in 1939 but I do not see him on your ball. There may be a couple early deaths in there, but they likely wouldnt change matters much unless they were super rare. My guess on value, in that condition, would be around $150 as well.
