I've shown so many in the past, e.g. my Sporting Life set minus Detroit, that I thought I'd show something a little different this time. |

No World Series in 1904....therefore, I declare this Buffalo (AAA) team the mini "World Champions". |

Nothing like throwing up a card from 1913 and having it the most modern one in the thread! |

They are on medium paper stock.......sort of like T213-1, Derby Cigar cards, but maybe a tad bit thinner than 1914 E145's......I wish they weren't so rare..... |

According to the checklist on Jerry Spillman's web site, there were Sporting Life Composites available of Toronto for the 1902 and 1907 championship teams. I suspect this is going to be asking a lot, but is there any chance anyone has any examples to post?! |

1901 Little Rock Southern League. 2nd place to Nashville in 1901. Players of note: John Skopec, top row second from left, played for Chicago AL in 1901 and Detroit 1903; J.R. Gilbert, middle row far right, played for Washington in 1898 and Pittsburg in 1904. Finally, William Popp, top row second from right, played for St. Louis NL in 1902. Mickey Finn (love the name) manager. Size 9 1/2 by 7 3/4. |

hope Rob will post his amazing carl horner detroit team (1907?) postcard that he showed us at this past NYC Dinner...many of the poses are the same as their T206 cards, including the cobb (although it is the uncropped version, with alittle more of his body). |

I'm lacking in the team card category. Best I can do are a couple of Burke stamped photo post cards. Also am posting a NYT rotogravure of the 1914 Giants, from the August 16 Sunday paper. On the day before the Giants had dropped their third straight to Boston , shrinking their lead to 3-1/2 games over the Braves who were in the cellar in July and who would go on to finish 10-1/2 games out in front. (In the corner is Charles Schultz's famous Peanuts cartoon: "Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher?" And why couldn't Merkle have touched second?) |

I will have to put these under a magnifying glass tomorrow for any makers marks in the lower right corner, my eyes are not what they used to be. As for your e-mail, I have written back. I have never sold a card, but traded a few. Get in touch again, we can work something out. |

Scott, thanks for the compliment. Your Ramly photo is fantastic too. The Ness City team is from 1906. I have an earlier image of Joe in an Ouray Colorado team photo but he's just the team mascot. |
