My on-line column will have photos but I got a nice interesting eclectic set of cards from my Secret Santa:

Highlights included: 1968 Topps Roger Maris, 1967 Topps Al Kaline, 1964 Topps Harmon Killebrew

Other Neat Cards (or other items) included:

1964 Topps Coin Yaz, 1963 NL Strikeout Leaders including Koufax and Drysdale and some autographed Bowman draft pick cards,

Very appreciated

You are a child of the universe,

you have a right to be here.

A HUGE thank you to my Secret Santa. What memories these cards brought back from my early days of collecting! The stars of the late 70s and early 80s were always larger than life for me, and Santa pulled off a Rennie Stennett in going 7 for 7 with cards I needed for my collection.

The 1976 Yount will be a key card in a 50-card 1976 Topps display I'll be putting together in the next couple months. And in addition to the Sutter and Blyleven RCs, the Murphy!! Wow, for a while this was THE card my friends and I all vied for. We had one total among all our collections, and it was constantly traded back and forth in swaps that might seem pretty lopsided today!

Secret Santa Nailed IT!!!!

An excellent hardcover copy of Sol White's Official Baseball Guide, a copy of Satchel Paige's book Pitchin' Man. Neither of which I have read, but have been desperate to get my hands on. Chicago Union Giants newspaper clippings, Clint Thomas autograph, Jackie Robinson commemorative envelope signed by Josh Johnson, and a 1961 Jimmy Brown football card for icing on this delicious cake. Some very generous gifts from my net54SS, thank you so very much!

Thanks to my Secret Santa who sent a sweet little selection of '50s and '60s cards, with the likes of Ashburn, Drysdale, Slaughter, Spahn, Doby, and a few others.

And thanks to Sean for the Ruth card and putting this together.

The only better present today was the news that our one daughter-in-law is pregnant with their first child, my third grandchild. Sometimes getting older DOES have it's up-side.

So, I just got home and finally was able to open my SS gift. I have to say, my secret Santa sure found some awesome items. As much as I like the SC pin, the triple folder and the Ruth coin (not pictured), the mechanical boxers are INSANELY awesome. Better yet, they work! What a unique item!

Thanks to my seceret Santa. I was going to wait to post until I had images, but realized I haven't even done the pickup threads recently because I have been lacking in scans and photos recently.

I got a nice hodge podge and it was very fun sorting through it all.

Thanks to my Secret Santa for the 1953 Topps Campanella and the 1941 Play Ball Hoyt. Both were unique to my collection. Thanks to Sean for hosting this year. I will post some pics when I get a chance. Busy with holiday festivities, my wife's birthday (today), and a 4 week old daughter. Sleep and scanning time are at a premium at this time, but I am thankful for everything just the same.

Default Just opened...

We did our Christmas today and it took a lot of willpower not to open early. My secret Santa brought me a beautiful 1956 Topps Ted Williams SGC 30! Love the Kid and I needed this one so it is perfect.

Also, I was very blessed to have a second secret Santa - my guess is Derek??? In this one I got an Exhibits Salutations Newhouser I needed for my HOF set, a Bancroft strip card (I was wanting another Bancroft card), Ken Griffey Jr. 1989 Topps Traded RC in solid Mint condition, and a very unusual Pat Gillick card (also needed for my HOF set).

Not sure how both Santas knew perfect cards to give me, but I am extremely grateful for everything! Sean, thank you to you for setting this up and for the Brown & Bigelow Ruth. I have several B&B Ruth and Gehrig items including a verylarge Gehrig wall calendar from 1951 and love the artwork.

Mark

My Secret S-Man sent me a real nice Delong Maranville and a 1950 Bowman Footballer. Thanks generous Santa, and thanks Sean Claus for setting this up and the Bigelow Ruth...never realized what a cool card it is.
