It's my opinion that the 86 fleer Jordan will always have good value...

But the prices that high graded ones are selling for now?? That bubble is gonna burst...

There's just too many of them out there... That card can be found at any time in any condition you want.

It's not just the '86. Check out eBay ending prices on '86-'91 Fleer. They have all shot through the roof over the last couple of months.

Crazy, glad I grabbed this one a few years ago. Now it's time to look for some early 1990's Fleer Jordan cards in my junk boxes!

Nice!

I purchased this one at the T.O. Expo and only because it was in $10 dollar bin.
I thought it would be nice to have and thought the guy likely paid quite a bit more just to get it graded?

I agree.

If I were to begin collecting basketball cards, and I didn't have this Jordan already, his card would more than likely be at the top of my list.

Truly insane. This time 3 weeks ago I tried unloading a case of 90-91 fleer basketball @$5 a box with no takers. Now it's flying out the door at $700 a case. Unbelievable.

Several months ago my local card shop had two boxes of 91 Fleer for $7.99 apiece. I bought one and came back two days later and the second one was gone. Kicking myself hard for not getting both.

The 1991 Jordan in PSA 10 has hit $1000. That is insane. But it appears that a rising tide is lifting all boats. The 90 Hoops card has taken off as well as the 90 fleer. Even the lowly 91 Upper Deck Jordans are going up.

I understand that demand is very high but these cards are plentiful in high grade. What am I missing?

The $1,000 plateau was soooo last month. It's fallen to the mid-$300 range since then. As you said, there are somewhere north of a bajillion of these out there, and so these insane prices couldn't be sustained very long.

The 1990's Jordan cards have come down but the 1980's Jordan cards still are getting some good money. The 1988 Fleer PSA 10 is going for $1,000 plus.

Mid-300 for a plentiful, garden variety card from the junk wax era is still hard for me to comprehend.

About three years ago I did a Criagslist buy of about 300 wax boxes at around a buck apiece, and somewhere around 30 of those were basketball.. Fleer, Hoops, UD, Skybox. 1990 and 1991 issues. I busted them all and so I have a ton of Jordan cards that went from pack into sleeve.

Maybe its time to do a bulk PSA submission. I could sure use the money to fill in other holes in my collection.

Default Jordans

I had 100's of 1990's Jordans in my dollar box when I set up at card shows. No one was interested until I moved them to my quarter box. There are literally millions of these cards floating around. The 1980's have some value, but unless you have a PSA 10 or a rookie, people just aren't interested.
