Nice cards, Camaro.

What show are you referring too, if you don't mind?

We have a local show in Halifax once a month. Not a lot of sellers(maybe 25) but a very nice mix of vintage, new and oddball stuff.Price are always fair.I also bought an unopened pack of 100 Bobby Orr rally Patches from the early 70's.I know that it is not all that valuable. But to find such a thing still factory sealed.Kind of neat if you ask me.Just need to find an Orr fan or a Bruin fan.

Got up off my wallet and picked up some '48 Bowman basketball cards that arrived today. Highlights would include #34 Joe Fulks RC and four tough high numbers with #72 the last card in the set. This puts me at 62 different of the 72 cards in the set or 86% completed.

Usually, I just post to the baseball side, but I finally got around to sending in my Gretzky rookie.
The 1979 Gretzky rookie is the first great card my dad ever shared with me (we busted a box together when I was 5). He had a fantastic collection (mostly baseball), but I have always loved the '79 Gretzky. Dad has been gone over 20 years ago, and the card he showed me is long gone, but after he died, I saved up all summer and finally bought this card. I have had it with me for over 20 years.

Yeah that's a great story and that's a really nice copy that I'm sure you'll have for another 20 years. What collecting is all about - a connection to our past.

Everyone should own at least one Gretzky!

Here's a Press Pass issued to Bobby Orr for the Blackhawks game at the Montreal Forum on February 9, 1978. I was told these were given to injured players to put in their handkerchief pocket during the game.

Bobby Orr sat out the entire 1977-78 season as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks recovering from his 12th knee operation. He would play only six more games before retiring in the fall of 1978.
