Baseball Comics (1993) by Will Eisner came with a set of four cards which were:
Ashburn, Woodling, Dark and Rube Rooky. The comic itself was a reprint of an early 50's issue. The four cards are unperforated and must be hand-cut.

Seems obscure enough and modern enough that I'm not surprised nobody guessed it.

It is some time hard to tell what is odder in here. The stuff that gets posted or we who post it

I'd have to say it's both. But when you think about the Topps virtual monopoly between
1956-1980 it's not surprising. We had Kellogg's, Fleer and a bunch of regional issues that you usually didn't see unless you lived in that region. So you had to be an oddball to even seek out these out the non-Topps cards. I still have some issues of "The Sport Hobbyist" from the early 70s and like to look through them for all the oddball cards that I still to this day haven't seen.

Thanks, Al. Never saw Snider play, but one of my all-time favorites. Stumbled on it years ago and thought it was neat.
No mention of Emmett Kelley is surprising actually

I've been fascinated with the foreign language Sportscaster cards of my favourite player, Mike Schmidt.
Although the translation is clearly bonkers (4 HR's in a game somehow translates to 3 HR's in a game), I wish I could find more examples of these: |

OK, oddball? Lately I've been picking up transparency slides for my Yaz collection. These slides were produced by MLB and released to TV networks for use during broadcasts. I own 7 of these and have another one on the way to me. I have noted the year below each slide.

That is a very cool item! I know the Sportscaster cards have many variations, but never really got to the point of putting a checklist together on the one's available.

My source says one was made each year of each player and that somewhere around 5 copies of each were produced, definitely less than 10. Very scarce, but not a lot of demand.

Based on those I have seen available and copies that I own for Garvey and other Dodgers, I doubt they are that limited. I don't know for sure, this is just speculation. As you said, the demand isn't great, but it seems they would be much more scarce if that were true.

Dodgers- Don Sutton
Thought I would revive the odd-ball thread with something I came across while organizing some stuff. Unsure if this publication is common or not since I don't really collect Dodgers items, but thought it was pretty cool so I'll put it out there for viewing. If it's a common item please let me know. Looks like a pretty early Sutton publication.

Not something I have seen before, but that doesn't mean much. Sutton is one of those guys that I never cared much about, which is odd because he is a rare Dodger HOFer from the LA era.
