Default Show your Collegiate of Ames

I have grown a recent interest in pennants and have found collegiate of ames to be my favorite of the companies.

I am wondering if anyone would be inclined to share some?

There's a great link in the "Hey, pennant guys" thread to an article about the creator of those pennants.

I like these pennants a lot too. Is Collegiate of Ames related to the "Chicago Pennant Co."? Chicago made a pennant similar to the Princeton one you have, as well as these examples...

Not related but they did used the same graphics on a few pennants. Chicago pennant stuff is a little rarer.

Here is a Denver one

They were 2 different competing companies I believe. They both produced some real quality stuff though. Not like the made in china junk you see today.

Recently I have seen the market for Collegiate of ames pennants and squares dry up a bit... is there any place other than ebay to find these pennants? Also here is the 1950 cotton bowl pennant up for bid now on ebay. Has anyone seen any others like this possibly from different bowl games?

Those are some gorgeous pennants. Did the company produce any MLB pennants? I'd be curious to see what a Yankee one would look like.

OK Matt, I'll put you to the test...

Two of my favorites that I don't see pictured above are the U of Miami Ibis Bird (looking a little angry and beat up) and the Maryland Terrapin (looking not too bright). Can you post images of either of those? Much appreciated, if so!

I'm also loving that Ohio Bobcat Mascot as well as the friendly looking Florida Gator. Great stuff

It is one of the top threads in the memorabilia forum. It is currently two threads below this one as I look now.

You should sell the Giants and then go pick up another one!

vintagecollegebanners.weebly.com shows a lot of the banners

vintagecollegepatches.weebly.com shows a lot of the graphics as patches and not on pennants.

Were you looking for something in particular? There is a lot of stuff they made that, to my knowledge, is not compiled anywhere
