Op-
Make sure you open the box at the post office in front of the clerk there.
People do tend to ship an empty box.
Because it shows shipped, they are off the hook. You need proof!!!!!
Don't fall for this trick or for a different item.

I'm totally expecting some shenanigans with this.

The package was accepted at USPS five days ago and is expected to be delivered tomorrow. I was planning on opening it up on video, as I don't think I'll need to sign for it and it will likely just be left at my house. Is video enough, or should I find some other way of having it witnessed?

Not sure, as I never had this issue.
I personally would open it in front of the postmaster, since your expecting fradualent activity and tell them that. And if so, then you have a witness and get written proof from him.
Not sure how a video works out. but should be o.k.

I guess it might be a Karma thing.
The question is now on you--- What kind of feedback do you leave???

That is the $64,000 Question, right? It ended up with the positive result I wanted, but the journey to get there was a negative. I haven't dished out negative feedback that much at all, and am not sure it is ENTIRELY warranted here, but a positive feedback is surely not ENTIRELY warranted either. I guess I'm leaning toward abstaining at this point...

IMO, this transaction is a great candidate for no feedback.....keep the clown thinking about it for 2 months....
