The 1952 Topps are definitely OK.....they CAN NOT be bigger than Tall Boys....here is the largest they can be....

3 1/2" x 5 1/6

They MUST be that size or smaller. And cards only. No pins. No coins.

Bobby, I have this 1997 Topps Certified Autograph Willie Mays card. Does it count...or does the auto throw a monkey wrench into the works?

1997maysauto1.jpg

Wouldn't mind getting it into a protective slab. Have a Tony Gonzalez somewhere, too.

I forgot the date range....new cards are OK....but yes...it throws a monkey into the wrench...I think...they won't grade the auto.

Bobby,

Sent 8 cards your way today...estimated delivery is Tuesday.

Just realized I meant to include a check but forgot...will pay via PayPal!

Thanks again for doing this...didn’t send anything high value, but interested to see what grades they get (yes, I understand I could have a LONG wait!)

Have to send the Mays on a dual submission, not bulk. Misses the year cutoff by one.

Just to clarify. I couldn't care less what the autograph is graded, I just want the card itself graded (so it'll be protected inside a slab). Is that okay, or is it a no-go?? The card was issued/put in a pack with the autograph on it, so it's not like submitting some random card that I got signed later, right?

1998-present pack pulled cards are okay for PSA in bulk submissions, not before. Must go through PSA/DNA dual service to get this card graded.

Quote:
Autographed cards dated pre-1998 and/or those not directly from the manufacturer must be sent through Card and Autograph Dual Service (fee may vary depending on card value, see listed restrictions and requirements). Autographed cards dated 1998 and later (direct from manufacturer) can be sent through any of the services listed above (note restrictions and requirements for each level).

More advice needed...

In scanning through my cards to find ones worthy of grading through Bobby's group sub, I've come to a fork in the road. This second-year 1964 Pete Rose is obviously way off center and verging on miscut, but the card sells for a decent amount in all grades, so I'd like to have it graded simply to make it easier to move sometime down the road (hopefully a long time from now).

1964rose125front.jpg1964rose125back.jpg

Here's the problem. The corners are nicely squared and the only really visible 'problem' is that tiny notch (so to speak) at the top (which looks 1000% worse in the scan than it does in real life). But, and it's a big but...on back there are 4 microscopic black dots that I have to assume are marks. No matter how much they are magnified, I can't tell what the heck they are, and the cardboard isn't indented from a pen. If this card was graded, I assume the MK qualifier would take precedence, correct? Even though it's wildly OC, it would get whatever grade they deem it is with an MK on the label, or does it get downgraded due to the centering PLUS the added qualifier??

As an example, here's a random Pete Rose RC (screengrab from ebay) that is also obviously way OC, but it got a ST designation instead...
s-l1600-3.jpg

Should I get my '64 Rose graded? Opinions are very welcome.

Should I do it? Obviously, the only reason I would is because I want the card to be more 'valuable' due to the lack of a qualifier, but I would be annoyed if it came back as a lower grade (which is always a possibility) and/or possibly graded with an OC qualifier instead, because I just realized it is somewhat uncomfortably close to the bottom (and left) border.

Default bulk sub psa

I'd consider it, but SGC just ran a special on our page. And the wait time is just shorter.

But thanks. Maybe next time.

Knock on wood. I decided to crack it out and it literally took one swipe of the panty hose to eliminate the dreaded "STAIN." PSA really has to re-establish their official stain guidelines. Gum residue on the glossy surface of a card (especially if it's very small) isn't a stain. Spilling root beer on my 1984 Topps Don Mattingly is a frickin' stain.

SGC gets nowhere near the money PSA does. Period. I wish they did. But they don't.

We are up to 350.

Didn't you contact the member on here that has been called out several times on BO in the trimming scandal? What did he say? I think he still posts on here saying he can get discounts at PSA.

I don't know who you refer to? I do remember one guy saying he got discounts. But I never saw how that was possible. Because they just DO NOT give discounts. That would be like Disney saying you can get in the park for $20. It just ain't happening.

Bobby,

12 cards coming your way. The package should be there on Monday. That is what the postmaster claimed.

Thank you for undertaking this effort.

Has it been extended?

The due date was posted a while back, and if not changed, everyone has had ample time to get their cards in

I will admit I got mine sent off later than I had hoped. They arrived today. Thanks for your understanding and for putting this together Bobby.
