Kudos to the guy that picked this one up tonight:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/31530433069...0698&recoPos=1

I have never seen this one before--was outbid at the last second. Winning it would have certainly dulled the pain of recent disappointments.

Hope the buyer didn't think it was an actual autograph, that would be crummy, to lose to a guy who isn't even going to be happy he won!

.. would this have to be first sent to EBAY/PSA , for authentication , because the postcard was listed under SportsMem Autographs and sold for 'way more than $250 ? Interesting case. Exactly what did the E-Bay buyer think he was bidding on ? That is indeed Mr. Greenberg's handwriting on the back , but the photo is a facsimile " autograph".

..

That is interesting. I thought the writing on the back was by Greenberg's hand. The seller did state that it was not signed by him but "stamped."

I was underbidder at 755....though I only put in that as a safety net as I thought it wouldn't go above 500 but you never know....very disappointed not to win it....I thought the listing did mention it was signed though I'm sure that's a preprinted auto...back definitely in his hand....maybe I can drown my sorrow in your Type5 Mike?...lol

.. Thanks , PM me if you hit the lottery , and we'll examine the Type 5 option for you. Patience , Laddie , though , the WidowGarcia and I are downsizing between now and Christmas . No more snowbirding twice a year . Our next trip to F L A will be a mostly permanent one , except for Penna. buck season and her Leo Carrillo Family re-unions at Santa Anita in SoCal.

That sounds like a plan Mike. I'm about 2 years away from retirement, G-d willing, so I am starting to think about what my wife and I will be doing....I'm sure we can work out something sir!

I figured I was bidding against you on the PC, Michael.

Too many Greenberg fans out there swallowing up my cards!
