Can somebody explain what happened in this auction
Posted By: Vognar Julie
Couple of months ago, a guy was auctioning off a whole box of Kashin cards. He was not a card guy, and made a mistake in setting up his auctions (mentioning ALL his auctions on EACH auction page). E-Bay blew him away: "think over your evil set-ups, and return in a month." Fortunately, I had a bid in, so I was notified. For some obscure reason, I was bidding on the last Moe Berg card I needed to make my collection complete. I wrote to him; he asked for an offer. After a week, he asked if that was my absolute highest bid. I told him "I was going to bid 555.55 as a limit bid. I don't want to pay that much, but I will." I got the card, which lists for 160.00, for a mere 490.00. aND ALL because E-Bay cancelled his auctions on a technicality. |
