In honor of the Pete Hill card that sold at Love of the Game
the one on LOTG did well, but I thought that it might do better....
By the way, for those interested I have loaned my Pete Hill (and Josh Gibson) bats to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown for a 5 year term for their "Soul of the Game" exhibit....

Love the Romeo y Julieta baseball. Is it part of the same issue as the boxers or something completely separate?

Now I answer two questions that were asked to me, Adams, the Sport album from Romeo and Juliet 1922, has Sections according to the sport. You have a photo of the top part of a sheet that says: Boxing Section, and the bottom part of another sheet which says: Romeo and Juliet Sport Album, the other answer is for César, he wants to see the card that is next to my last publication, and something else, do you agree?

Willie Mays, one of the greatest baseball players of all time, has died at the age of 93. Now I show you when in 1950-51 he was hired to play that season with the Almendares team, due to an injury, the manager from Almendares Fermin Guerra received a message from the manager of his team in the Major Leagues telling him not to play him, I show photos of Mays and the Fósforos Acebo Album where it appears marked by me in red.

Roland, this is an incredible ongoing thread, and you, sir are a living encyclopedia of Cuban baseball. On my bucket list, I hope one day to visit Cuba.
There is another recent thread, and the poster asks about 2 Dolf Luque cards: "Hey guys, usually turn to tcbd for images but the 1922 William Paterson And 1924 Diaz cigarettes Dolf Luque cards are not pictured. I realize these are pretty rare sets, is there another website that would have these images? Anyone here have these two cards and will post an image so I can see them?" I think if anyone would know about these cards, it is you. Many thanks, sir.

The Tomás Gutiérrez Cigar Factory in 1924 gave a collection of Pitcher cards from the Major League teams, and also printed an album with all the players, that collection of Tomás Gutiérrez was called Díaz by an unknowing person, this was a great error, since Díaz was the owner of the factory at that time, before and after it was owned by others, I show photos that I now took with my phone on pages of my Specialized Catalog of that collection, I had to reduce the size of the photo to that could be published, that's why it doesn't look very good.

In 1946, "Photos Magazine" printed a collection of post cards with baseball players from the Professional Championship, and some boxing players. Each month they published 2 series of 4 cards. Those interested had to send the coupon shown and 35 cents for the series. chosen, there is a photo with several series and the names of the players, in other photos I show some of the cards from that collection.

Recently, one of the greats of Baseball passed away. He played in Cuba in the last Professional Championship 1960-61, with the Havana team. He also played in Mexico and in the Major Leagues. In Cuba, the only Professional Championship he played in, he won the title of Rookie of the Year. , son of another of the great players of the Cuban League and the Negro Leagues, I show a ball signed by him with the Havana team and a photo in Mexico in 1957 representing Cuba, signed on the back. I was lucky enough to see him play for Habana in 1960....

Great team photo with a teenage Luis Tiant. I have attached photos of Tiant on the cover of a Mexican baseball magazine picturing him with the 1960 Mexico City Tigers and a photo of him with the 1960-61 Habana team. Luis Tiant was one of my favorite players and I was lucky enough to meet him in person. He was one of the good guys.

Today I received the unfortunate news of the death of one of my great friends, Luis Zayas, a great professional baseball player, he belonged to the Cienfuegos and Habana teams and also to the Cuban Sugars Kings team, I saw him play in the Cuban Professional League, and For many years of friendship he visited me from time to time and we shared anecdotes about the history of Cuban Baseball at my house. He always asked me to see his photos from that stage. Now I show you some photos of Zayas. In the first one we see him receiving a trophy like player of the Sugars Kings, in the 2nd with one of the great Cuban pitchers Camilo Pascual of the Cienfuegos team, the 3rd was when the 70th anniversary of the Cerro Stadium, part of a documentary directed by Yodeni Maso, which is about the player and the fan of that Great Stadium, Zayas and I participated, interviewed by Yodeni, it was broadcast by Cuban Television, the other photo of a ball signed by the members of the Havana team in the 1960-61 season, (last professional) signed by Zayas
