That Matty is a beaut.....I think it's the best 2 I've ever seen!

It took me a couple minutes with a blown-up scan to figure out why it got the grade.

Part of a large collection I bought. Really love the wagner. It looks like a 6 but has a speck of damage on the back.

I also added a little stack of beaters to play with. I think these have been around for a while, as there is very little "old cardboard" smell left.
I am getting the urge to put a stack together again!

I'm excited to have picked up this card on eBay last night (scans are from the auction). This card will definitely help me in my quest to put together a T206 team set with all different backs...

Agreed. you can just picture someone saving those, looking at em, and maybe abusing em some. It'd be cool to stack em up, shuffle em, etc. Sometimes it beats our entombed friends.

Arrived today - the 1909 Pirates extension postcards. They're pretty beat up, Wagner is detached from the strip, and 3 of the 17 players are missing. And I probably paid a bit more than I intended at first.

With that said, it's really hard to find this set, so I was very happy to pick it up in any condition. It's nice to say I have a Wagner which is probably much more scarce than the T206! I love the fact that all of the pictures appear to be unique, and not images you see in many other sets.

Scans of a few of the cards....

Default A few More E98s closer to the master!

Thanks to a couple fellow board members who replied to my monthly E98 want list. I appreciate the opportunity to purchase them. The two blue ones have a miscut back to them. Interesting variation since the fronts are fine. If anyone has anymore to sell, please check my want list on the BST.
I would love to buy more that I need.
Thanks,
Tim Kindler

Oh, beautiful E98 Lajoies posted earlier in this thread. My hat is off to you.
Tbob, great to see you got a few more E94s closer to the master.

I picked up the E270 Tin Top Frank Manush (Toledo) recently, as I already had the New Orleans version. Notice how they corrected the spelling mistake on the Toledo version. Frank was Heinie's older brother...

Also picked up two new E270 Red Borders, Otto Williams and some guy named Speaker...

I also picked up about (100) 1924-27 Zeenuts from that large group recently auctioned on ebay...

also, tell me it doesn't look like Charlie Pick just didn't finish groovin' (disco style)!

Default great E270 Speaker

Great E270 Speaker, Rhett.

Here is a W571/D305 Bond Bread 1947 Perforated Holmes/Chappius. This is the front and back, or the back and front....uh...well, never mind on front and back but here is a weird looking one.....and since I do pre-1950 types my apologies for the slightly OT year of mfg.

Jeff -

That B18 Blanket looks pretty frickin cool in an SGC holder.

would be even cooler if SGC slabbed it with a diamond cutout (image and type would be straight).... but either way - that is pretty nice looking.

Joe, I hadn't thought of that -- and it's a great idea, I wonder why they don't have their inserts that way? I can't imagine many other issues could be used for the square insert used for the blanket. A diamond shape would look awesome. I'm guessing Dave probably nixed the idea, after all he hates kittens and puppies too and caused the rain last night in Manhattan.
