The cards I have are all from the 350 series. Some sheets are blank back and some are Sweet Caporal 350 subjects. |

Maybe the factory # just indicated to American Lithograph where to send the cards (i.e. which cigarette factory). |

Art: I agree completely ... the Fact. 42 designation was not supposed to be there on the Sweet Cap Fact. 30 back. But, I think that Sweet Cap back proves that T206s were not printed in coils, and then sent to a specific factory where that factory's specific back was applied (which is the theory put forth in the original post in this thread). I don't believe "Fact. 42" would have been printed on that Sweet Cap back at Factory 30, even by mistake. |

I offer as some evidence the T206 Barbeau shown below. The red back print on the card front doesn't match any T206 back I've ever seen. If the ATC had lots of sets of lots of subjects printed at the same place it is possible that a scrap sheet used for some non-baseball set inadvertently wound up in the press for a T206 run and then slipped out. Anyhow, here is the scan: |
