Recent pickup---not a remarkable Ruth item except via condition. Probably the nicest store model bat I've seen and I would be surprised if it's ever been used.

Good catch on the dugout David -- do you (or does anyone) know when the Yankees switched over to the first base side?

Ray that is one gorgeous bat, and with store bats condition is everything.

Never to late to revive a thread about Babe Ruth!

I forgot to post this here. It is the first type 1 with Babe, that I acquired. It's nice cause it has Gehrig as well.
Fall 1927 barmstorming in Iowa. Article below the pics describes the event.





and no...I won't be expanding the collection to include Ruth photos.

This is a good thread to bring back, Mark. As the Spring Auction Season ends, I would think that there are plenty of new Ruth pick-ups from the last three months.
