Sweet CJs earlier; love those cards!

And thanks regarding the Ruth-- cannot believe how nice it looks in hand. That whole, 'buy the card, not the holder' thing is so true

Great cards above. Congratulations.

Here's one from JohnD on BST. Thanks.

Not bad when cards have pencil notations on the back like this one...

Thanks. The grading game can sure be downright silly; when it came I eyed it for so long, and then after many minutes I finally remembered to look at the back, lol!

I can't believe how grading works sometimes, for example when you look at what a 90-10 OC, creased, stained PSA/SGC 2 or 3 can cost.

To me it is all and always about eye appeal. After all, when it's just a collector and his card, he's looking at the card, at the image-- not some number some random dude put on it

Default Sunday pickups

Nothing spectacular but the T207 Block is one of the keys to the set because it is so scarce so I always pick one up when it is offered (Cardboard Classic auction) and a T213-2 Mowrey Pittsburgh.

Default A few more Chases...

Slowly adding to my Prince Hal collection...

It is my assumption that the first baseman on the "Trying To Catch Him Napping" card is, in fact, Hal Chase...please tell me if this is just wishful thinking on my part...otherwise, just makes sense ot have this card in my collection...

Hi sean!
Need about ten to complete my sons cubs set but if I do all sovereigns then I still need about 22 more lol paid pretty well for that one but I'm beginning to think the 150 series sovereigns are rarer then people have thOught so I'm glad to pick it up for the price of a grade better.

Hi matt!
That would most likely be fred merkle as I assume it would be a giant and not a highlander. Interstingly it does kind of resemble chase which makes me wonder if they stole a chase photo (like one of the many from the t202s) and just changed the teams.

I agree about the Sovereign 150s. I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find a Merkle portrait with a Sov 150.

Good luck with the Cubs.

The opposing player plays for Cincinnati, so I don't see how it could be Hal Chase.

Just a small pickup. But it's a type that I didn't have, and also a rookie year item of a hall of famer.. Not that I'm a type-collector, but I like having a variety within my HOF rookie collection.. PeeWee Distarce obviously adds to the appeal.. No Hall of Fame rookie collection is complete without a midget racer...
