Hey Fred - you got me - I forgot about the old finger crossing defense As to the lying issue - obviously its always good (though not necessary) to have something in writing, but oral contracts are every bit as binding as written contracts (in most instances as there are some things that can only be contracted for in writing, such as land). My guess is that most of these deals are consummated via email - which would provide all the proof you would need as to the terms. |
