Default A Few Examples....

....the Bowman and Topps cards were successful TTM attempts. I thought that the thread was evolving into accepting auto's in general so...I stuck in one index card. I certainly am enjoying this side of the forum. Exceptional items in every post. I do not see a "General" autograph thread and do not want to "Hijack" this one. Is one coming?

Love Kenny's inscription. Was that a surprise bonus?

No. I'd asked him to add that after hearing a story about him shouting that at Len Dawson during a game in 1966.

I've added some pages of signed player collections to my website recently. I've got near complete/complete signed collections of cards made during playing careers only for a handful of guys. You can check the links below:

Lance Alworth

Gino Cappelletti

Clem Daniels

Speedy Duncan

John Hadl

Paul Lowe

Johnny Robinson

I just realized about all the broken links. Sorry! Maybe I'll fix them, but not tonight.

Going much more modern with this update.

I bought this recently with just the Parilli signature, but then sent it off to Gino Cappelletti. It came back yesterday. I really like getting these team cards signed by pairs or small groups of people whose careers connect strongly with each other.

OK, something older than my last post. The latest addition to my signed Andre Tippett basic Topps run:

Picked these up over the last couple of months. Sending the in to PSA for the monthly special this month. I really like the Richter and didn't know his relationship with NASCAR until I did a little research.

Not a card but Sid Luckman signed this for my father in 1946, so forgive the deviation from the norm:

That's an incredible autograph, Mike! Did you know this was in the book when you purchased it?

Mike,

Nice book! It looks to be signed to John Eckstorm, who was the Ohio State football coach from 1899-1901.

I did know the autograph was in there - and Eckstrom was an interesting chase - I looked in newspapers.com and found many articles about him being a Prison doctor before I found his obituary which gave his football background.

I wrote a blog post about some of the autographs I've found in this book

Love the OJ! Here's something more modern, another RB, hero of last season's Super Bowl:

As a few of you know, I'm collecting the 1955 Topps AA set with autographs. What a challenge that is! I recently picked up one of the difficult ones to find and thought I'd share it here.

The timing is great as Baker Mayfield just won the Davey O'Brien award for best college QB!

I decided a while back to stop posting the modern ones in here and only post my vintage football autos. But this one was too huge a card to not post here.
