Default April Pickups

I'll kick off the month of April...
I just picked up this rare 1938 Johnny Vander Meer Foto Fun photo card and original cardboard frame. Very unusual and cool!

Anybody out there know much about this Foto Fun series of photo cards and how widely they were distributed?

A few years ago, a few original, unoepened "packs" showed up on eBay. I believe they sold for around $300-$400 (and Leon may still have one). Essentially, the "pack" look just like yours frame, but with a flap of carboard over the top I believe.

Stolen from Leon... I knew I had the image somewhere.

Too cool! Thanks Jon for coming up with this info for me.

It looks like these might have been given away as part of a promotion (s), correct?

Just got this 1935 Scranton Miners team signed photo featuring a really early VanderMeer, also on a more modern note picked up a 2008 International League Champions Scranton Yankees ring. It was player issued and is a great addition to my Scranton Wilkes Barre minor league baseball collection. The ring is resting on a Butch Wynegars hat from last season.
