Congrats, Jason! I picked up a few on the ones that came up on ebay starting at .99 too. Not every day (or year ... or decade) that these appear with a low starting bid.

Congrats again, that label is a tough one.

Which labels did you pick up? I tried on the Luckman last night but I was the underbidder.

John,

The latest image (below) I can see perfectly. Not sure what is different this time vs. prior times.

Great looking pickup - you have a great eye for nicely centered cards with pristine corners. Congrats!

As for one of my latest pick ups? The lase card I needed to complete my 1957 Set. Ironically its also the last card IN the set.

Todays mail brought this eBay win. The card "books" for $80 NM and the seller accepted my $25 offer, and shipped it for free. 31% of "book" is more than I like to shell out, but previous eBay sales show I did OK I think.
Just SIX more cards until my '63 Fleer set is complete!

Thanks, it also keeps perfect time so far. As a Packer fan, I was happy to see he played for the Pack for one season.

They are extremely tough! One of the ones I have is part of an uncut strip of labels so am still looking for an individual example of one of them (Johnny Lujack) as I refuse to cut something like that up into pieces.

Is there glue on the back of the strip? I always felt those strips were part of the bigger advertisement that was cut up.

1963 Fleer #63 Fred Williamson "books" for $15 in NM. This ebay win was $11.50 + $3 shipping, but this seems to be about what the cheapest cards are selling for. I placed a snipe of $19.77 as I am getting tired of seeing this card on my list lol! In hand I thought the card might be trimmed, it measures like the other cards in my set, but the picture has a slight tilt to it (like I care about that lol). Nicknamed "The Hammer".
Just need five more of these little devils to complete my set, and I'll have another card to report on when it arrives.

Nice Larry. For anybody that hasn't watched the re-broadcast of Super Bowl I, The Hammer was one of the Chiefs who provided commentary during the re-broadcast. He hasn't changed a bit ... as outspoken as ever and very entertaining.

This is now the oldest card in my collection. Not that old, I know. But old for me.

1963 Fleer Lance Alworth RC. A POPULAR CARD! Finally found a lower grade example on ebay (although I will say the sellers VG description might be a little generous LOL). Book price NM is $200 but this appears to be one of those times the book is thrown out the window. Sniped at $103.51 and lets just say I was prepared to go higher!
Four more needed to finally put this set to rest:
#6 Chuck Long RC SP
#23 Cookie Gilchrist RC
#37 Billy Cannon
#47 Len Dawson RC

Met up with a local guy last night to do some trading and landed this Night Train. Also picked up a few more cards for some sets I'm working on.

This was one of my Mt. Rushmore's . 1957 Bart Starr graded 4.5 by psa. I'm happy to own it. Christmas from me to me. Paul Hornung is the last on my list to complete this set. I'll have to update my 2017 goals.. i've only got a handful of '72s left as well. Happy hunting.

I picked up a '71 OPC Bazooka hockey counterpart earlier this year but never dreamed any Bazooka CFL cards would ever hit the market. This is one of my best ever pickups and I revel in its ugliness:

Wow, thank you, Dan. That is very kind of you to say. I'm not sure my collection is deserving of that kind of praise, especially when I know what some other folks on this site have acquired. But I appreciate the compliment nonetheless.

This one just came today. I'm pretty pumped. Just need Bronko Nagurski and Turk Edwards to finish up the 1935 National Chicle Hall of Famers. Easier said than done...but still, one less to find now!

Thanks brother........i was happy with this one for sure. I just can't swing the money right now for higher grades so i was looking for a solid Brown with little to no snow on the front and a decent back. Think i did ok

So, one of my goals for 2018 was to keep my eyes open for Chargers memorabilia, particularly Type 1/team issued photos. Over the last couple of weeks, I have managed to purchase 70-something such photos from a fellow board member. These make me very, very happy. Here is a sampling. I may share more later if I have time. Thanks for looking.

Those photos are amazing. Bringing the history of the game to life, and it doesn't hurt that Alworth makes an appearance. Congrats on the pick-ups and continued good luck in increasing the collection.
