Default Red Sox Player Identification Help

Hi-
First, I want to thank everyone who has responded to my previous question threads. I sometimes forget to thank folks in those threads and I do not want to bump old ones to the top just to do that.

Second, I have a few different Red Sox photos where I cannot identify the player. I am not that good at figuring these things out and would appreciate any help board members can provide. I am trying to collect one image of every player who ever played for the Red Sox (card, photo, newspaper clipping, etc.).

Third, here are the scans. The first scan shows someone identified as Jimmy Morgan on the back. This photo was sold in an RMY auction and they noted that no one with that name ever played for the Red Sox. They speculated it could be a spring training player who never made the team, or it could have been mislabeled. The second scan shows three snapshot photos. The one on the left is from the 1920s and the other two are from the 1940s or 50s most likely. The third scan shows a real photo post card from the 1910s era from Arkansas. When I purchased it there was a paper label identifying at least one player but I lost the label. I can provide better scans of any of these if needed. I really appreciate any help that can be provided.

Alan

I do not believe the 1st photo is Hooper. The 3rd photo may be Clyde Engle, but I cannot see the face well enough to be sure one way or the other. Sorry

The small photo with the player with his hands on his hips....looks a lot like Earl Webb. Although Webb was around 6'1", the player in the photo looks shorter, but hard to tell since nobody is next to him and uniforms were so baggy back then.

Neither Hooper nor Engle for sure.

The last photo has Hick Cady on the left.

My mistake - my reference to "not Engle" was with respect to the first photo, which was not claimed to be Engle. As for the 3rd photo, I agree it is much too small as posted.

Thank you everyone for your help so far! I apologize for the quality of the previous scans. Below are scans of each photo at 600 DPI. Please let me know what you think. I also included another unidentified one I have of a player outside of Fenway. It came in a lot of other Red Sox players dressed in regular clothing (leaving a game). I really appreciate everyone's input as well as the firm identification of Cady on the postcard.

Alan

The left picture of player with hands on hips is Ira Flagstead from 1923. I know because it came from a lot I originally bought of all 1923 snapshots.

The guy far right in the Cady photo is Les Nunamaker.

Thank you Mark, I really appreciate your help! Sean, I bought him and a few White Sox players on the board but I cannot remember if I got them directly from you. I really like them and thank you for the identification. Any other thoughts on the possible Engle, the other one, or the new photo?

Thanks again,
Alan
