Absolutely insane closing price.

High starting price.

Outrageously long link, good time for a tiny URL.

40K spent for something that might be worth around 5K.

Is it me but I think there is a serious conflict of interest when Beckett sells their own graded cards.

Beckett consigns cards now, not selling their own. That card had a story on their website prior to the sale.

This line from the description just made me chuckle:

The Upper Deck Authentication Certificate has also been authenticated, and encased by Beckett Grading Service as “Authentic”.

Will the new owner send the authenticated Authentication Certificate to PSA to make sure that the Beckett authentication is indeed authentic?

My head hurts.

I followed this card from the story on Beckett to the outrageous closing price, and I still think, as I have all along: I'd MUCH rather have that ticket WITHOUT the ugly upper deck card border. If card companies want to offer these kinds of artifacts to collectors, then they should be left in they're original form and redemption cards for the items placed in packs. Futile opinion, I know.
