Default Baseball Wood Sign

Came across this wooden sign that the guy said used to hang in front of a store in Cooperstown. Does anyone know anymore info about it or if it would have any value?

I can't locate it to Cooperstown New York from the pic, but would otherwise believe it's genuine. Hard to believe it would be faked or 'reprinted.' It appears modern.

Yes, signs like that have value. It would be better if it had some baseball graphic(s), but it's a nice looking sign. People collect advertising signs.

Nothing solid on the sign .... but I'm pretty sure this is what it was for:

According to that newspaper article it seemed to be a traveling lot of items from the Hall of Fame.

Great sign for the entrance to a room that houses a baseball collection. Not sure how you would sell, but I think its nice. $300? $500?

Guys I don't own it, it was at a local flea/antique market near my father. The seller was looking for $400 but said he would go down to $300 for one day only. I passed on it.

I think that might have been a sign for a touring exhibit from the HOF. I recall that they did a travelling exhibit that visited maybe a dozen different local museums around the country about 10 years ago.
