Default Joe Posnanski and Topps Numbering

Joe wrote a post about Topps numbering and he came up with a way to score players based on their "prime" number frequency.

Default IMO most of us realized as kids that stars got the 0's

Posnanski's formula makes no sense. Why multiply it by the years someone played. If anything, divide by that.

It is not by years played. "multiply that by the number of Topps Prime cards they were on and voila."

I guess the multiplier is meant to brings the longevity as a "key" figure factor into the scoring a little more than just cumulative points.
