Default Fake '89 Ripken card in a PSA slab on eBay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/225590150811

Both cards are FAKE and obviously the signature is FAKE as well. Seeing a FAKE White Scribble in a PSA slab, however, is scary. Real slab? Slipped by PSA or inserted after the fact? Buyer Beware!

Thanks for the heads up. Unless they recently changed their font it is different than the only PSA slab I have now. The Rs are very different. The PSA slab I have I subbed and got back a few months ago so I know it is real.

So a fake card in a fake/cracked and resealed slab with a fake flip. The seller is also using the list it in a lot trick to avoid eBays authenticity guarantee.

Not a reseal or a fake flip, just another in the long line of fly-by-night fake grading companies that will slab anything with what you ask. Feels like there is always at least 3-4 running at any time.

More concerned about the PSA slab. Has to be a fake flip, right?

Default what is going on?

Unless there is something on the surface of the holder, the three pics of the Ripken card in the same PSA holder appears to show three different cards. Look closely at these areas on each card - they are all different.

I am talking about the PSA card. I sent them seller a $2 offer asking if they would sell the counterfeit Scribbled Out In White card in the fake PSA slab with the fake PSA flip separately. Fingers crossed I get it.LOL

The two posted by John R are the same (and real). Corners all match etc.

Note - you don't see the PSA embossed logo below the lower right corner. FAKE slab and most likely FAKE flip.

The flip is fake. The font isn't the same as any other real PSA flip I could find.

As a follow up the seller pulled the listing a few minutes after me questioning them about the counterfeit card with the fake PSA flip.

ah, got it.

Probably should have read instead of rushing. Not even sure why on earth they would go through the trouble.

If real that version sells anywhere from $600-$1000. Even before this last crazy price increase they sold for a few hundred.

Sorry, phrased that post bad. I meant that the collectors that spend the type of money that a real one would bring are like yourself, a specialized bunch. It’s a very niche card to fake and unlikely to work and work well.

The PSA sticker or holo on the graded case in the first image is almost aligned with the far side of the H in white, but in the other images, it's closer to the leading edge of the H in white.

Not that anymore evidence is needed, but the barcodes are slightly different too.

The selling in a lot is a dead giveaway. There is no reason to sell that card in a lot like that. People fall for it though.
