The Ryan highest graded didn't even sell for $2500. But there are some dedicated Murphy master set collectors out there so who knows...

Not as nice but cost me less. In fact the Murphy was by far not the most expensive Blackless card I had to buy to finish the set. I know I paid more for Ryan, Henderson and Jack Morris. Probably several others as well

Wonder what he would ask for a Murphy Blacklessing or Blueless....or Autoless ? :-}

Those blueless really don't get near the same attention as blackless

Default 82 blackless

I was actually offered a blacklessing, or whatever for 10,000 and turned it down. Enough is enough.

Default 82 Madlock Blackless

In this older thread, Al mentions there are 2 blackless versions to the Madlock card...one of them with a cloud near the player's name on the back.

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=115843

Does anyone know if this is the "cloud" version?

Yep, that's it, although the "cloud" looks a little larger on the one that sold on eBay in 2010.

Murphy "Blacklessing" sold on the 5th for 306.99. Twice as much as the Henderson "Blacklessing" sold for. Nuts.

Thank you Cliff, looks like this cloud could be the "progressive" type of variation.

Default Blackless - Cruz Variation

I have this unlisted blackless print variation. Would entertain offers if someone HAD to have it.

This was my old Henderson '82 Blackless. It was the holy grail of my Rickey Henderson collection.

It cost me an arm and a leg a few years back (purchased privately)...then I sold it privately for an arm and a leg last year. I spent 15 years looking for one and got a lead that led to the purchase and then, BAM, another Blackless Henderson showed up on eBay within a month after my purchase. So, like any other (in)sane person, I decided I had to have two! Haha! Both have since been sold now that I am out of the Rickey Henderson collecting game. There are lots of Henderson collectors out there! Ironically, I sold this one to a Blackless collector.
