Default heres mine

Cy Young upside down 4 back

T206 with a President Taft Campaign Sticker "Meet us at Wilmington" dated nov 9th on the back... after some research you can see Nov 9th 1909 Taft visited Wilmington... This is prob my favorite one... the fact that it made it through all these years with an piece of American History is awesome...

My 1 and only brown lenox... they are too rare to not be one of your favorites if you own one

There is a little bit of vertical creasing on the front, you can't see it on the scan. When I get home tonite I'll take a pic and post it so you can see... But still, its a great card, probably the favorite of my collection.

Cool cards, Matt! I recall seeing that Johnson before, but I
don't remember the story behind it. Is that a blank-backed,
hand cut proof card which was given to Johnson?

Thanks for sharing the scans, and whatever info you might have.

Thanks Chuck! The T206 WaJo was his personal copy that he kept in a scrapbook he assembled before he was married. It's not clear how he acquired it - if the ATC gave it to him or if it was from a fan; the part of the back that is showing is blank, but much of it is covered with a newspaper clipping.

favorite cards:

Baseball: I tend to think of favorite baseball cards not in terms of rarity or value but in terms of where I was in life when I got them. I pulled the Aaron from a pack in 1976, have had the T206 Johnson since I was 12, and the Dropo is the first old card I got (probably got it when I was 10 or 11).

Nonsports: Easiest to choose of all categories. I'd wanted a good Connery autograph for years before I got one, Shatner/Kirk 'nuf ced, and the Marx Bros are not only favorites but the card is from a rare theatrical set from 1926 and is the only example I've seen.

Boxing: One of my cousin, one of my favorite, one of "the greatest of all time"; the latter two are 1 of 1, as I've never seen another of either:

I'm not trying to be flip (well, maybe just a little), but I just scanned these and at this very moment they are my three favorites. It'll change any minute now.

It depends on what day I am asked, but these are my favorites today. The Lajoie is my favorite T206 pose and was one of my first two T206s that I got when I was 12 years old. The Cobb is an e93. I should probably post it on the big border thread too.
