1936 Goudey R322 #ZEBO.2 - Zeke Bonura (steals home/strike) [Poor]
Courtesy of COMC.com

The back is a 1936 Goudey of Zeke Bonura. Is the card fully original or was it pasted on top? Could have been a mockup of a future card design?

It's the original card, no pasting. Very strange. Good point; maybe a proof style for future style..

...too bad it wasn't a Ruth!

Thanks,

Gary

Hi-
I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe you have a magazine page cutout glued to a real 1936 Goudey card. In fact I am fairly certain these were discussed extensively several years ago on the main board. I think they came from a scrapbook so a child might have done them. Search the main board for 1936 Goudey and you should be able to find the thread.

I found the thread I remembered (mostly because of a really funny and often quoted post concerning a board member threatening to sue himself). The title of the thread is 1938 Goudey Proofs. I did not see any pictures left, but I am sure there are other threads about these on the main forum.
