Buy or trade for:

*t205's* Preferrably in g-vg range although any grade I will consider. HOFers I need are Young, Walsh, Evers, Wheat, both Wallaces, Baker, and maybe one or two that I am forgetting at the moment. Also, would love to pick up groups of lower grade commons.

*Cracker Jacks* Any grade considered, either 1914 or 1915 (doesn't matter to me). Looking for anything and everything Cracker Jack!

*etc... Would love to pick up a banged up '33 Goudey Ruth. Either the seated pose with the green background, or the full body follow through pose.

I have a nice selection of cards to trade, including a batch of t206 HOFers, some caramel cards, a large group of '33 goudey, and various other goodies. If you have any of the above, please email me at fisherboy7@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Hi Folks:

Selling: Some of you have already discovered this. I'm currently listing some nice T206 and T207 cards on ebay, including some quite scarce ones.

Seeking:

The usual stuff (usual for me, anyhow)--

T207 Almeida, Downey, Nelson, Woodburn

M116 -- a bunch!

1910 Obak -- a bunch!

1911 Obak -- I need only Delhi to complete my set. Can anyone help?

M101-4 and M101-2 -- a fair number, mostly non-commons.

I have just listed more items in my gallery for viewing. I have not sold any items yet. Thank you for are the nice comments and concerns this board has showed me over the last week or so.

I am selling my mail-order company which is taking up all my time lately. I am saving all the e-mail request for the lots that peolple are interested in. When I have come up with a price on them, you will be the first to be notified.

To be fair to everyone and myself, Seth from 19th Century might be setting up a special auction for some of the items.

Please keep the e-mails coming and I will do my best at keeping everyone informed on my situation. You may view the collection at www.zmotive.com/gallery/jccards
and e-mail me at jc@numail.org

Thanks

Bayless of Atlanta. Fair to good condition. Scan available.

I'm gonna do this like we used to in the old days before the hobby became so institutionalized, and run my own auction. The card is up for auction starting at $30. Best offer above that level in by 9/15/2003 takes it. Or make me a trade offer. I'm looking for 1954, 1956 and 1971 Topps cards.

I still have a wide variety of rare 19th century cards, mostly in low-grade. If you looked at my site in the month or so and didn't find anything of interest, don't bother going back, it's not updated that recently.

But there's still lots of cheap 19th century material, including A35s and a slew of old judges.

Struck out at the National in an effort to complete my quest for Jewish ballplayers. I figure if I ever complete this set, its sale may defray the cost of the first few weeks of my granddaughter's (9) college education. In any event, any leads on these cards would be most appreciated: 1914 Baltimore News Guy Zinn, 1931-32 Four-on-One Exhibit w/ J. Goldman, 1933 Tattoo Orbit James Levey. And, if I may stray off-sport for a second, 1930 Notre Dame football postcard Marchmont Schwartz and 1954 Gunther Beer Bullets basketball Ed Miller. Thanks.

There is a Jewish historical society that is offering a 2003 set that supposedly contains all or lots Jewish major league players (19th century and later). This includes many first/only card for many players. The set was printed by Fleer, and is only offered upon specific donations to the society. I don't have the contact info, but they are online somewhere.

I am looking for a copy of the photo of the players that played in the 1911 Benefit for Addie Joss with Ty Cobb in a Cleveland photo. How come there are so many Senators on the photo and who are they all? I recognize Johnson and I think Street but who are the other ones?

Thanks

The other two players in Washington unis are Bobby Wallace (St. Louis) and Germany Shaefer (Detroit). No idea why they were wearing the wrong uniforms (as was Cobb - Cleveland).

Johnson relieved Wood, then was followed by Russell Ford. Milan sub'd for Speaker, Livingston sub'd for Stree. Shaefer didn't play.

Hi Lee:

I have a copy of the photo, which I bought from Smoky Joe Wood's son, Robert. Robert, who is a longtime dealer lives in Keene, N.H. He sells copies of the photo which he sells at shows in New England. His dad is in the picture, and he had one of the originals, which he has since sold.

I have a list of all of the players shown in the photo, and if you are interested, I should have Bob Wood's telephone number.

If you're just looking for a nice copy of the photo, and not anything valuable, contact the Hall of Fame Library. I purchased a copy of the Joss memorial game photo from them about 10 years ago. It's not the panoramic photo that you see selling for thousands of dollars. It's just a standard dimension photo showing the all star team (but not the Indians team).

I posted my want list above (certain tough HOFers and nice T202s or T205s yada yada....)

I am/will be auctioning:
many high number 1934 Goudeys (including one of the highest graded Derringers)
some 1930's Hofers (incl. 33 Dean);
a PSA 5 1921 E121 (series of 80) Walter Johnson; and
1887 A&G Anson and Clarkson (PSA graded 4 and 2, respectively).

My ebay moniker (for the time being at least) is my email address bhodes@rcn.com .

It looks like the winner of my T207 Buck Weaver PSA 4 Red Cycle Back isn't going to pay (or even contact me for that matter). Before I put it back on Ebay I wanted to see if anyone from here (whom I would trust to complete the transaction) was interested. Here is the link:

Also, I have an 1889 Chicago White Stockings Note (large phony currency) that features a large image of AG Spalding on one side and smaller images of the individual players on the other side (including Anson, Van Haltren,Williamson, Ryan etc). JC had some of these on his web site and I can send a scan to anyone seriously interested in it.

before anyone gets snippy I got Elliot's permission to make this additional post.

has already paid for an auction he won on September 23, and received positive feedback. Have you tried getting his contact information and calling him on the phone?

Hi all,
I've listed a dozen graded 50's and 60's Hofers on Ebay that will end on Sunday evening. Not Vintage, but close. Thanks Brian

I've also listed a 1911 Reach Guide, and a 1910 Spalding Record, both excellent sources of information on t206-era players.
