Default 1909 E90-1 Frank Chance sketch

I can not get over over how poor this drawing is!

Could someone please help explain what happened here?

I don't think it's that bad other than the glove.

I wonder how E90-1 would've looked if Kreindler was the artist

E90-1 employed several different artists. Some were quite skilled and rendered accurate and detailed portraits. Unfortunately, this guy was not one of them. There are many action poses that don't really look like the players they are supposed to be.

Like Barry said, there is a wide variety of artistic endeavor seen in the set. Here is the Kraken E90-1 thread that has scans showcasing this talent spread.

I think some of the artists got to use the skinny crayons while some of the others only got to use the fat crayons!
