She could led be telling the truth. Do you know her dads handwritting? Maybe he did sign Babe Ruths name to it back then. You never know.

Just my odd curiosity, what about the blue ink ones? Everything bad, or a very bad Ruth fake wrecking an otherwise decent ball? (And If I can tell the Ruth is bad, either it's awful or I've been hanging out here too much )

Steve B

I'd learn more towards all bad and an added bad Ruth some time after. I haven't seen a Cuyler or Klein that look close to those.

The story behind this ball is that the ball is now in the UK. The dad came to the USA from the UK and somehow got this ball autographed and brought it back to the UK. It has been sitting in the family's residence since.
Pretty good story I must say .
I always like to get some provenance with autographs that I buy, especially because almost all of my finds come from outside the hobby, but this one seemed "too cute."
And the other signatures seem slowly drawn and just too neatly laid out on the ball. And that Babe does not look like it has been on that ball for very long IMO.

Maybe he's not really passed on, and has been hiding in the UK with Elvis.

Thanks guys.

I learn a bit each time, I'll probably never really get "there" but do learn from these things.
