Default 1979 TCMA baseball history question

Does anyone know the month that the TCMA Baseball history set was released? Asking because of an autographed card I saw, and the player died in March of 1979. Want to see if it is even plausible before I put too much effort into it. Thanks for any info.

Default Tcma

My understanding is that they were available from TCMA or SSPC directly and theoretically had no issue day/date/month. I believe Tom & Mike advertised the sets in their magazine Collector's Quarterly...but that still doesn't pin down a date.

I would guess that a March 1979 date for an autograph date is possible.

Just came across this post but just to provide some info here... Tom was not involved with SSPC and was really only involved with TCMA during the first year or two. That would be 1972 - 1974ish.
