Default N338-2 Gore, Tiernan and Ward

Anyone have an image of these? All 3 have long appeared on checklists, PSA has graded a Johnny Ward card but I've never seen it. PSA's labelling of Hess cards has created at leas 1 non-existent name before though. Gore and Tiernan I've never seen any real source for at all.

N338-2, N332 and type 2 of N330 are probably all the same set; Burdick's categorization follows his arbitrary separation of subjects rather than a separation of actual releases. My purpose is getting my checklist for it properly updated in all three segments.

Are you looking for this image?

Tiernan

EDITED TO ADD - There's a Ward portrait pose that may be what you're looking for if the Spring 2010 REA auction is searched.

I'm looking for a copy of the N338-2 S.F. Hess cards of Gore, Tiernan and Ward. Ward I am pretty sure someone has an image of, but the other 2 I can find no source for.

N338-2 is an arbitrarily separated portion of what seems to be the N330-2 and N332 release featuring major leaguers, mostly New York Giants, in ''photos of photos' glued onto a thick cardboard backing like most of the 19th century small-size photographic sets, and advertising S.F. Hess on the card front. Examples attached.

My understanding is that the image in the second post is the same used for the card. I wish I had one of the cards.

You and me both . I only have Jack Dempsey and a few actresses. This is one set I won’t be trying for, just trying to properly document. A number of the cards are unique or nearly unique and have spun this into a very long project just to record them.
