Default 1948 Leaf Boxing uncut sheets

So an uncut partial sheet of 1948 Leaf boxing just sold for over $1500 on ebay. That seems like 5 times more than I thought it would go for. Was there a card on there that I missed? AdamW had one on ebay with more cards a few weeks ago. Was the one that sold today better?

Depends on your perspective. The sheet on Ebay that just sold wasn't a single sheet, it was pieces of four sheets. Dempsey is normally the upper right corner and Godoy the lower left. La Motta is lower left. This one had the Dempsey in the dead center with Godoy above and La Motta to the right of Godoy. Probably a scrap, so tougher than a regular sheet. Other than that, I have no idea. Perhaps someone is hoping to cut down the sheet and make some PSA 10s with it

Thanks for explaining the difference in the card order on the 1948 Leaf sheet that sold the other day. I noticed there were alot of bidders above my bid. I guess they knew what they were bidding on.

Default 1948 LEAF Boxing sheet of 49 cards

Here's a complete sheet of 49 cards.

I acquired this sheet in 1985 for $200. So, what's it worth today ?

My scan is an old one and doesn't do this sheet justice. The actual sheet is crease-free and is a full size sheet.

Nice sheet Ted!

Here's one I just picked up from Adam. Half a row shorter than Ted's, unfortunately, but still displays nicely. I'll just matte out the half row.

1948 Leaf boxing is a great set. Thanks for posting those two sheets. Here is a Lamotta autograph I got a few months ago.
