Help.. Mystery Venezuelan Auto on ball ?
Got this really cool baseball today. What confuses me is that there is a 2000 stamp on the baseball but I do not think it is for the year 2000. The reason I believe that is because the President's facsimile autograph and stamp are all on the ball and he only was President of the league from 1989 - 1991. His name was: Rafael Marcial Garmendia, who was president of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League from 1989 to 1991.
There is also a very nicely signed autograph on the sweet spot but I have no idea who it is???? Can any of you Venezuelan experts shed some light on this baseball and/or the mystery signature? Caceras....
I believe he was from the Dominican and played there and then to the Jays organization. Not sure he ever played in Venezuela. I appreciate the info.
