Hello everyone, I follow many Ebay auctions and view this board often. I would like to support sellers on this board, however, I don't know many of your user names? I buy stuff on Ebay under husband-of-tammy and I sell Misc. stuff under wife-of-jc. I'd really like to know who was rockets_lover to? He brought a lot of action to Ebay for a month or so.... JC

i use a sniping service on all bids that matter, so there is no point in anyone marking my name to dog my bids. I'm not suggesting in any way that this is the purpose of this thread, but it did happen to me with a "rival" (enemy?) who intentionally ran up my bids on several items (I was able to prove it because he engaged in the classic ploy of topping my bid, withdrawing his bid, then rebidding for a dime less than my top bid).

PS: today's score is popup killer 5 popups 0. Gad, I love it.

I'm joncanfield19 I buy a variety of items, but sell mainly vintage memorabilia and autographs... Deviating away from what I used to collect and trying to expand into some new areas of interest!

Hello,
My ebay handle is "NICKINVEGAS".

I buy and sell vintage baseball cards. I sell mostly 1950's topps as that is what I have collected for the better half of twenty years.

I am not supposed to collect anything, but I do take a long long long time to sell my T206 rare backs and any cards featuring latin players made before 1970.

Regards,
Nick

...TBob (duh!). I can give you 6 or 7 other board members' screen names but I'll let them post them if they want and respect their privacy (?) The reason I know them is because I have been sniped by so many of them and I have a long memory, although getting shorter ever year of middle age.

I have the longest and coolest name:

bowlingshoegiverouterguy

I changed my from my email address because I got too many soliciations

I buy and sell, T206's, T202's and occasional M101-2's.

I will buy anything I feel is cheap and resellable at a later date. I have to find a way to support this habit. They say it is good to admit to your problems but it certainly doesn't slow my buying down. I sure have learned alot in my almost 2 yrs, on ebay.

I like JC like to support board members and have bought from many in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I won't feel that bad now when I get sniped. It's funny, last year in Chicago if I introduced myself as JC, it was no big deal. But, if I mentioned husband-of-tammy, I would get more intrest. I hope my Ebay name won't be put on my tombstone... Best JC

I know "husbandoftammy" allright - the guy who always knows what I'm "thinking" of bidding on, even though I don't place a bid! I guess we both just have good taste!

Don't ask. You don't want to know. yes, I agree, "husband-of-tammy" is always winning what I should have bid on. And sometimes did.

Hey: I will give an A and G N28 Caruthers, vg-vg-ex, , to anyone who can figure out what my handle means.

Hint: the "0" doesn't mean anything...

1) what else, besides addresses, comes in 4 numbers? 2) the "s" and the "j" go together.

It describes the only time you saw a triple play:

1452 - pitcher throws to second baseman for a force out, second baseman to third baseman, tagging the runner for second out, back to the catcher to tag the guy sliding into home for the final out.

sj - you were watching the San Jose Bees

owall - you took a snap-shot, which is hanging on your wall.

more hints: 1) something real simnple that comes in 4 numbers--this doesn't make answer simple, but when you get the genus, I will let you know.
2) in what languages do "s" and "j" go together?

I collect, vintage(pre-war) baseball cards, and "Golden Age(1938-47)" comic books. I normally like graded material, in either cards or comic books.

Sjowall is a Swedish author. Perhaps the '1492' is some type of reference number for a book. Or, maybe your ID is some type of reference to 1452 and Scotland's James II.

Ben has guessed the "1452" outright (in an e-mail)--it's the year Richard III was born. MW has apparently guessed the second part, but doesn't deign to say who the author is or what she wrote.

Oh well--didn't want to give that card away anyway.
