Default E-93 "Valentine Card" Find

Had a wonderful group of E93's (mostly) that I was able to acquire. The Cobb and Wagner came back from PSA today and the Young (5) is on the way. 12 or so other HOFers and 30 total cards. The person that owned them bought a box of turn of the century valentines back in the late 70's. Once she started looking through her new valentines treasures, she found these and then tucked them away until recently. Thought that this was such a cool story of how they survived so well for all these years.

Great story! Congrats. As an aside, how does the Cobb and Wagner get the same grade?

They didn't. The Cobb is a 5. Wagner is a 6. But I do think that the Wagner could have very easily caught a 7. Comparing it to the REA 8 that just sold, they are not that far off.

Jesus do I need to get my glasses prescription updated!! The Wagner is a 6. My bad. Either way, that Wagner is gorgeous. They are all in amazing condition for 110+ years old, but that Wagner is extra gorgeous.

No. All the HOFers were there except Matty, Lajoie, Evers and Tinker.

They are out there. I was set up at the Mint Collective show in Las Vegas a month or so ago. On Sunday, an older gentleman noticed a few tobacco cards in our case and asked if we bought old cards. He proceeded to pull out a group of T-cards. 2 Red Hindu backs (including Wheat), 2 Brown Hindu backs, 2 Red Suns, an Old Mill and 4-5 EPDGs. Most were poor condition but the fact that there were that many rare backs/cards in one little collection was nuts. He explained that he had them since he was a kid. (He was in his late 80's so guessing they still had to have been handed down to him). I wouldn't have expected a buy like that at that there but you never know.

The Cobb, Wagner and several other E-93's close this Sunday in the REA Summer auction if anyone is interested. (as well as our Red Hindu Wheat and Brown Hindu Clarke).
