Default Caramel album

Picked this up yesterday....(obviously still coming to me) and was wondering if I did good, bad (can only be $100 bad), or indifferent? I collect this sort of stuff, and although the pic is not good, it still looks like it might be neat. Anyone seen many of these? thanks in advance

The price you paid is in line with other sales I have seen.

But, the album is actually for the E120 set, not the E121.

Hi Leon. Thanks for your post.

The E120 American Caramel card backs state that "We supply handsome blank albums to hold 120 pictures--one for American League, one for National League--for 16 cents each postpaid." This is one of those albums.

Each album contain pages for the eight teams in the league, with spaces for the 15 players for that team from the E120 set.

The albums are actually a little larger than the one shown on the eBay acution (I'm sure the image has been cropped; not the album!). They measure roughly 12 inches wide by 11 inches high.

An example of the cover and one of the team pages (for the N. Y. Giants) is shown here:

The pristine condition of the few albums seen recently make one wonder if they may be reprints, although it is possible that a cache of original albums has been discovered. I got mine at the 2002 National from a dealer who's integrity has been recently questioned on this board.

I would be interested in getting feedback from you after you receive the album, or from any other members of this board who can provide more details about the albums.

All the best, Lyman
