Default Mickey Mantle Bat Question

Please be kind, I am new member and this is my first post. I recently purchased this signed bat at a local auction. I know there are a lot of Mantle fakes out there but I figured before I spend a lot of money on "official" authentication I could ask some of you guys if you think it is even worth submitting. I have attached a pic below.

Thanks
Pat

If it is real, I am curious as to why someone would try to sell it without authentication. With that many annotations on it, this would be a very expensive bat if it were properly authenticated. I assume that you did not pay big money for it.

Under $150.00. I knew it was a long shot to be real but it is a real beautiful looking peice that would like nice on a wall either way.

I don't like it either. Looks like one of the CC Mantle stat bats they seem to have an infinite supply of. Sorry.

maybe Richard, Jim or someone more knowledgable will refute Dave or I's opinion.

If I did not know better I would say it was a Florida project but as far as I know that group does not forge bats.
And to the OP,,, why oh why would you buy this??? $150??? geez,,, better off going into a casino and putting it on red.
Sorry but I am getting almost as mad at the enablers as at the forgers.
Check it out after you buy it?? Come on.

OMG Becky......If that bat was real you'd be looking at 2-3K minimum.

Sadly, it's barely a dime store phony. The bat looks nice if you'll take some alcohol and rub all that chicken scratch off....

Sorry, that's being nice for me lately Pat.

Isaac - didn't your original post state that you thought the bat was good?
Got to check my screen shot files to see if I saved this one.

LOL. You don't even need to look at the 'Mantle' auto to know, just the handwriting for Triple Crown is no bueno. The "R's" are terrible.
