Do people here favor action or portrait poses in the t206 set. Which are your favorites. In particular what is your favorite of the three Mathewson's.

Thanks, Henry

Hands down Matty Dark Cap for my favorite Mathewson in the set and my favorite pose.

Here's mine, my favorite card in my collection and it will never be traded nor sold.

Generally, I tend to like the action poses more. I usually find them to be more interesting. With Mathewson, I have a hard time deciding. His portrait is probably my favorite portrait in the entire set. But the two pitching poses are classics as well. I think a lot of people prefer the portraits. To each their own.

I usually prefer poses or action shots. However, the Walter
Johnson portait against the yellow colored background is my
favorite card in the set. There is no other card in the set
that has the picture clarity that this one has. Besides he
is my all-time favorite pitcher; so, I guess I am biased.

Ted- I'm with you. The Johnson portrait is my favorite T206, too. There is something angelic about that pose.

I'm with Jim on this one.
I look at my Matty's most every week and just cannot pick one as my favorite. The gentlemanly, educated Matty somehow shines through the poses
and portrait similar to what Barry says about the angelic Johnson.

I do love the Johnson portrait as well as Ed Walsh.

Still, Matty's the Man.

Barry

I much prefer action shots/poses to portraits. The dark cap is my favorite Matty.

I agree with many posters above that the Johnson portrait is the best card in the set. That said, of the matty's, my favorite is the white cap.

My favorite pose overall has to be the Johnson portrait; the Cobb bat off finishes a distant second. Honorable mention: George Paige from Charleston and Bill Bradley batting pose. My favorite Mathewson is the white cap version.

Although only a "common", this is my favorite t206 card by far. Gotta love the pink!
