RIP: Tommy Nobis
Atlanta's first Falcon; No. 1 overall pick in 1966.
He will be missed! Something I did not know: Nobis was an iron man, playing (and starting) on both defense and offense for his entire college career (at Texas - when Texas was REALLY TEXAS) WOW! As a Falcon rookie, he had 294 combined tackles...let me say that again...294 combined tackles. WOWER!!! 5-time Pro Bowl in an eleven year career, named to the all decade team...yet he's not in the Hall-of-Fame! .
